BSUP

The main thrust of the Sub-Mission on Basic Services to Urban Poor is focused on integrated development of slums through projects for providing shelter, basic services and other related civic amenities with a view to provide utilities to urban poor.

Two cities of Rajasthan namely Jaipur and Ajmer-Pushkar have been selected as mission cities. City Development plans (CDP) for Jaipur and Ajmer-Pushkar Cities have been prepared and approved by the Govt. of India

MoHUPA, GoI has been requested to de-sanction 4255 Dwelling Unit in Ajmer against 5337 DU’s sanctioned.

The financing pattern of central assistance for projects sanctioned under JnNURM varies with category of cities. The central assistance for various Sub-Missions for the State of Rajasthan and equivalent State and ULB share is as follows;

Procurement of Buses under JnNURM:

3 projects with project cost of Rs. 287.97 Cr. have been sanctioned by Central Government with committed central assistance (GoI share) of Rs. 146.58 Cr. for Mission Cities Jaipur & Ajmer – Pushkar.

Rs. 501.03 Cr. has been received as central assistance till August, 2014. An amount of Rs. 1051.05 Cr. has been spent on UIG projects till August 2014, against the funds received from GoI and proportionate share of State Government & ULBs. 400 buses have been purchased for Jaipur and 35 buses for Ajmer – Pushkar.

 

 

Quality Control & Monitoring by Independent Monitors:

Quality Control & Monitoring of projects costing to Rs. 50 Lac and more being executed by Departments/Organizations under Urban Development Housing & Local Self Government Department by Independant Monitors.

Vide Govt. of Rajasthan, UDH & LSGD order no. 723 dated 22.02.10 a Quality Control & Monitoring Cell has been established in RUIFDCO. The works/projects costing Rs. 50 lacs & above being executed or to be executed by the departments and organization under UDH & LSGD will be inspected by the independent monitors for Quality Control & Monitoring. A panel to Independent Quality Control Monitors has been prepared by RUIFDCO.
